Project description and objectives
A private equity firm from Slovenia with active investments in Bulgaria, Romania and Ukraine had a request to attract 35 mln EUR from Arab Gulf investors into their new fund.
Accomplishments
The project was included as part of a portfolio presented during a regional roadshow covering Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the UAE, and Kuwait, alongside three other client projects without their direct presence.
The goal of this initial step was to gauge preliminary investor interest and connect clients with those who showed genuine interest in their specific projects.
In total, the investment presentation was shown to 36 investors who expressed initial interest.
As a result, a sovereign wealth fund from Abu Dhabi, large institutional investors from Qatar and Kuwait expressed interest to meet with the CEO and consider the proposal.
The project team took the client's company CEO and CBDO to a separate business trip and organized 15 individual investor meetings for them in Qatar, Kuwait and the UAE.
Project objectives met
36 meetings with potential investors in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Kuwait were organized.
An investment road-show with 15 meetings was organized for the client's company CEO.
Success criteria met
The interested investors decided not to proceed with the deals, as the fund did not meet their investment criteria.
